I don't care

‚I don‘t care‘ explores the mental state of apathy. Apathy often is the result of helplessness, a felt lack of power to intervene or change a situation, that grew into a state of being deaf-dumb towards life around you. One reason for this phenomena can be identified as the inability to cope with the speed of late capitalist culture. The collective force of passive individuals should not be underestimated, as they confirm a situation and obstruct change. 'I don't care' aimed to publicly profess apathy. The work includes several ways to name the issue: public seating furniture empasizing postures associated with ignorance, an 'I don‘t care‘ protest march, the promotion of the march through social media and mutiple smaller interventions.
